Whether you’ve spent six months on your build or you’re rocking a last-minute cosplay, I’ll find the shot that does it justice. I shoot on a Canon 5D Mark IV with great lenses and off-camera flash — every image is directed, lit, and made with intention. Here’s everything you need to know. All pricing includes GST.

Convention Floor Shots

It’s not a candid. When I find you on the convention floor, I stop you, read your build, and direct you into a pose that suits your character. Shot with off-camera flash — a properly lit photograph, not a hallway grab. It’s free. Watermarked. Posted to Facebook within a few days. Want the unwatermarked hi-res version?

Discount codes drop within 48 hours of each convention — follow me on Facebook or Instagram to catch them. Ordering a lot of images? A Studio Mini Session ($150) gives you 4 fully retouched images in a dedicated slot. A Bespoke 2-Hour Session ($450) gives you 8. More images, more time, more polish.

Studio Mini Sessions — The Photowall You Missed

TESTING STAGE – HERE’S A Behind the scene look. Didn’t get a session at the convention? Want to do it properly — studio lighting, a dedicated slot, real time to get it right? This is the one. Held in my Wellington garage studio with a 3-light rig (key + 2 strip boxes). 30 minutes. 7 slots per day. Runs approximately 2 weeks after each major convention or ad-hoc on demand.

Bespoke Sessions

The full Capturing Cosplay experience. Your character, your story, proper time and light. I lead the shoot — hunting for Yummylight — and we build the images together. Locations: Wellington city, your chosen location (travel costs apply outside Wellington), garage studio, or convention-adjacent (golden hour before/after con weekend).

Payment plans available over several months — ask me how. Early Bird rates open 8 weeks before each out-of-Wellington event and close 4 weeks out. Full payment locks in the rate. What’s Included in Every Unwatermarked Image

Every unwatermarked image includes base retouching as standard: · Colour correction and white balance · Contrast, shadow, and highlight adjustments · Simple background cloning · Social media crop (1080×1350px)

Heroic retouching (included with Mini Sessions and Bespoke Sessions) adds full skin retouching, advanced dodge/burn, and detailed finishing. Cutting Room Floor images are simple edits only — colour correction, white balance, basic exposure, and crop. No skin retouching, no compositing. Presentable and shareable, not magazine-ready.
